Infinite Blue Energy enters a HOA with Boya Energy

Infinite Blue Energy (IBE) is pleased to announce it has entered a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with Boya Energy, an Aboriginal-owned, Indigenous energy business. The agreement outlines collaboration plans to build and develop an early plant for the production of green hydrogen for IBE's refuelling station planned for the Perth Airport West Precinct.

Another party to the agreement is international service provider, Petrofac, an important engineering partner who is also working on IBE’s flagship green hydrogen project Arrowsmith.

Located near Perth, the green hydrogen production site will produce 4.4tpd of green hydrogen and contain a 10MW battery and hydrogen storage facilities. The green hydrogen will then be transported to the Perth Airport refuelling station. IBE is planning to build six hydrogen refuelling stations, facilitating the formation of its Zero Emissions Highway plus initial back to base solutions.

As of its first stage development, Stephen Gauld, CEO of IBE, expressed the business has a clear plan to supply green hydrogen to the domestic transport market:

"We are committed to producing green hydrogen that will assist in the decarbonisation of the transport sector in Western Australia. The initial green hydrogen will be supplied from our Early production System MEG HP1 when it comes online late 2023."

Stephen Gauld, CEO, Infinite Blue Energy

Stephen says:

"By partnering with Boya Energy, IBE is underlining its commitment to producing hydrogen from only renewable sources; is demonstrating it is able to leverage its own expertise in utilising available and existing large-scale renewable facilities in the state; and is committed to partnering with Indigenous businesses and organisations in implementing its business strategy and combating climate change.”

Moreover, participation in this project strongly aligns with the values and vision of Boya Energy as CEO of the Company, Ron Villaflor says:

“We are committed to fast tracking the energy transition, creating opportunities for Aboriginal people and businesses while preserving country and production of green hydrogen is a key component of that story.”
